Lione Bakker, born in 1990 in the Netherlands. Raised in a small village in the middle of a forest, here my passion for photography began.
I never wanted to make standard portrait photos, I always thought of a story before I started to take the picture.
Animals are often an important element in the picture, in the beginning the animals were Photoshop manipulated but most pictures of my newest work were created by working with real living animals like owls, birds of prey, elephants and camels.
A photo for me is more than just a pretty picture, I strive to elicit a story or an emotion with a single photo.
That a photograph has the power to pull people out of their daily activities and takes you into a world of dreams...
Surrealistic photography is a way for me to create that new world for the viewer. A world that can be interpreted differtently by every person."
